iWork on Overdrive

This module will be showing you some out-of-the-box things you can do with the iWork Suite, specifically Keynote and Pages. Click on the link below to get to the full iWork website. Feel free to bookmark and share this website with students.

Going Beyond Basic Presentations in Keynote

Keynote is much more than simply a tool to create linear presentations. Teachers and students can use Keynote to create a wide variety of other types of projects that can be exported as videos or html sites, and shared with others.

Digital Storybooks

Stop Motion Movies

Video Slide Show

Hyperlink (non-linear) Projects

Going Beyond Word Processing in Pages

You can use Pages for word processing. But did you know that you could use pages to:
  • Create a logo
  • Create a movie poster
  • Create a DVD jacket
  • Create a tri-fold travel brochure
  • Create a billboard design
  • Create images for use in an animation

Combine Ideas

Why not combine ideas from a couple of project ideas...
  • A Logo Design (Pages) that acts as a menu for a Pop-Up Hyperlink Presentation (Keynote)
  • A Movie Poster (Pages) with an accompanying Movie Trailer (GarageBand, iMovie, Keynote Slideshow)
  • A Choose Your Own Adventure (Keynote Hyperlink Project) where the final slide in each path has a Stop Motion Movie (Keynote/iMovie).
  • Your own Book Cover Design (Pages) for a Digital Storybook (Keynote)
  • A Informational Brochure (Pages) and an accompanying Commercial (GarageBAnd, iMovie, Keynote Slideshow)
